I really like the first 30 pages....and then it introduces the pottery artist, where they grew up, their family history...blah blah. I cant even skim through that crap to get to their techniques because its all blended in together. Sad that it was getting good in the beginning then fell off a cliff.
Love this book. The images are very inspiring and it looks great on the coffee table.
The text is good butg not very much on cultural background of smoke fired pottery as this keys on particular potters and their work for the majority of the book. This is good info but is not useful for a potter who wants to have more information on sustainable firing.
What I enjoyed the most about this book is the great variety of images, that is what feeds my brain.

This was a very good book as far as artistry and technique. However, it was not what I was looking for. I was looking for instructions on how to do all these techniques myself. Had I known there were no instructions, I would not have purchased it.
