Hailey had had a bad incident with a football player in the past so she didn't date them now. So why did she marry one then?I liked that Hailey was a strong woman who didn't give in to her fear of big men - football players in particular - and realized that Brady wasn't like the one she was scared of, but was a kind, considerate man. I loved them both. I wasn't sure how a relationship would work between a woman who'd grown up in a wealthy family and a man who'd grown up with very little. But it did!Thank goodness I didn't need to know anything about football to enjoy this book. I loved it!Fans of clean read suspense, defined without explicit sexual content and bad language, will enjoy the romantic chemistry, the suspense and the conclusion.
4.5 starsThis was my first Cami Checketts book and I was so pleasantly surprised!!! I can't wait to read more from this author. The cover had me a little nervous to try it but then I saw who it was by and knew it would be clean because of friends who enjoy reading Checkett's books! The main characters definitely had chemistry. Oh my. 😂. I love football so that made this book extra fun.Brady and Hailey rescue each other by pretty unusual circumstances....and it was so fun watching their relationship develop. I adored their characters and loved cheering them on. Checkett's writing really pulled me in and I could NOT put the book down. The only reason I gave it 4.5 stars instead of 5 is because I felt like the ending was a bit rushed and became extremely predictable...BUT I still thoroughly enjoyed reading every page. I don't like to give a lot of details in my reviews because I'm one who hates to have the story given away or surprises ruined...but their California trip is ADORABLE and magical. Fun read.I would definitely consider this an "adult" read because of a traumatic experience the heroine had before this story begins. It is discussed several times throughout the story and has a pretty big part in the storyline. There's also a greasy creep she deals with that is suggestive etc....and her cause of being rescued by Brady.Also includes several kissing scenesClean, No language.
The Trustworthy Groom is a wonderfully woven romance about healing, triumph, and learning to love again. Action-packed as well as romantic, Cami Checketts brings it home every time. Another winner!
Building trust while overcoming fears and past memories, Hailey and Brady discover they need each other for more than just protection against stalkers. Hailey’s story is sad, but Brady brings joy and peace back into her life. His sweetness and gentleness makes him a swoon-worthy hero. The Disney experience is awesome. The song Brady sings to Hailey is one I remember singing to the moon back in my teens when I was missing a certain special young man (whom I later married). Quick and sweet read. Enjoyable series: GO TITANS!
I just love the fake fiancé books! This one does not disappoint! Cami is an amazing writer! I love all of her books. This is a fabulous love story between Hailey Knight and Brady Giles. I really love how she switches between. What the women is thinking and what the guy is thinking! The storyline moves along quickly. This is a fun clean romance with a touch of intrigue.
William is making her nervous of what he would do if alone. If she said anything, there would even more problems, against the team, her father no telling what he would do. Brady one of her team’s player came in and she pretended they were engaged. It was a tricky situations he was VP of Rules, and no telling what he would do to get him fired. Brady has his own problems with a stalker, and it was suggested he have a fiancé, maybe then it would stop.Her dad knows, now suggesting a fake marriage might benefit both. Delightful twist, with love coming after a fake marriage.
This was a great read about love and overcoming obstacles to trust. This was sweet and clean, I'd rate it PG for kissing and thematic elements (like a stalker). Definitely going to read it again!
I loved this contemporary marriage of convenience story! That can be such a fun trope, and this one was done so well. I loved Brady! He has a heart of gold. Trustworthy? - Absolutely!! I loved the gentleness and understanding he showed Hailey. She had so much spunk and sass, but deep hurts, as well. I loved them as a couple! And the epilogue was perfect!
