But there could be no more beautiful biography on the life of Corrie ten Boom for children than the one just produced by the Christian History Institute. It is very well and accurately written with a wonderful array of pictures to keep the book very appealing and interesting to children. This is a true biography, not historical fiction. It will fill a void for an age group that has few well-written biographies about people of faith. And it delights me more than anything else that this biography ends with the message which Corrie ten Boom spent decades of travel and speaking seeking to highlight above all else. Not in the first place how God helped her and her sister Betsie during their incarceration in concentration camps, nor the adventures of Corrie's years of travel. Corrie ten Boom's life reminds us that faith can hold firm in the most difficult of situations. Radcliff edits the story down to the key events that pack the most emotional punch. This is a very well thought out book. Children will appreciate the story and older readers (like me) will appreciate that the book is cliche-free and lets the reader draw their own conclusions about the ten Boom family's experience. This book made me wonder what I would do in such a circumstance, which is the hallmark of a good book. Buy this book for the kids in your church and pass them out on January 27th or another suitable time.
Seven year old granddaughter read this book and was very taken with it. Then we watched a movie about Corrie Ten Boom and she was very attentive.

We own every torch lighter dvd and plan on buying any and all of the books as they are released.
My daughter is reading this book now and thinks it's great. Perfect for the ages described. Great story of love in response to hate.
A wonderful story written in a beautiful and creative way! Many important lessons that kids of all ages will enjoy.
My children (ages 8 and 5) both really loved this story (though, admittedly, they were primed by watching the DVD version first). I heard a lot of "Just one more chapter! Please!" And I was thrilled because Corrie ten Boom's story is an excellent example of trusting in God, helping others, and forgiving even those who do horrible things to you. I can't recommend this book enough.
This was a great inspiring book! I encourage all ages to read this book!!!!!!!
