About the Author
Helen Brierty and her husband Peter own the well-known Spirit House Restaurant and Cooking School at Yandina on the Sunshine Coast. With Head Chef Annette Fear, Helen has co-authored Spirit House Recipe Collection and Travels with Thai Food in which they have brought together their most popular and requested dishes, which have been enjoyed for years by diners at the restaurant and taught to students at the cooking school. Helen has created a hydroponic farm that, together with surrounding farms, provides both the restaurant and cooking school with the freshest of produce.

This book is spectacular. The mouthwatering photos are great, but it's the lovely flavours of the desserts that keep me going back to it again and again. So far, our all-time favourite recipe from this book is the Kaffir Lime, White Chocolate and Coconut Truffles. Delicious. Every time I make them, guests ask for the recipe - I've yet to meet anyone who doesn't love these little white balls of loveliness. Other recipes I have tried include Passionfruit Coconut Brulee, Coconut and Lime Posset, Coconut Pannacotta, and I've made the candied chilli garnish (which was great on chocolate mousse, and also tossed into a salad!). This is a lovely, lovely book. It has lots of great plating ideas and is very much about restaurant style desserts that you can easily make at home (although some recipes have several components and are quite involved - it isn't a book for novice cooks). I bought this book largely because I have Helen Brierty's other two main cookbooks from the Spirithouse restaurant. Both of those books are sensational - amazing thai food without the lengthy list of difficult to find ingredients.
Compelling and diverse flavors and textures make these recipes new and unusual without being off the wall . Recipes are very accessible ,straight forward and logical without too many expensive or difficult to find ingredients . As someone who is always looking for new ideas and techniques I am taking full advantage of all this book has to offer . It's a very useful , thought provoking addition to my library .
Nice easy old style fushion of Thai and europian food ...In this case Thai you will finde less...but you can use lot of this at your home ...or in restaurant ...just try did recips work ...maybe need to try first
